When a large organization like Teach for America needs to retire their enterprise hardware, the destruction of data is imperative to ensure all company data and their members’ data are protected at all times. Unable to trust other vendors to properly wipe their hard drives, Teach for America began storing their hardware as it reached the end of its lifecycle. And because they didn’t have the resources to recycle their old hardware, they began storing the technology in crates, eventually leading to a stockroom overrun with drives and devices they no longer wanted.
“We needed a vendor to help us recycle our old computers. Before that, we were just getting rid of them. We used another vendor that wasn’t deleting hard drives so it ended up becoming a legal issue,” Samuel Rodriguez, Teach for America’s Managing Director of the Help Desk, shared.
Bringing on Revivn to establish a hardware lifecycle management process at Teach for America was a seamless transition. Teach for America was able to schedule pickups and know the data would be handled correctly. Since working with Revivn, Teach for America has been able to save countless hours they would previously use to manually recycle their old hardware, and now they use this time to integrate new processes and focus on streamlining their internal operations.
“Everybody always smiles and everybody's happy. That's what you want to see. They’re always willing to help you out. I've never had any negative experience to make me want to go speak with another vendor.”
